Job Title: Lab Technician (Cosmetics)
Location: Clark, NJ
Type: Contract
Duration: 5-6 months
Pay Range: $20- $22 per hour on w2

Responsibilities:
- Formulation (paint, food, pharma, cosmetics…), characterization, and stability
- Emulsion physics or chemistry, surfactants
- Rheology applied to mixtures (but individually ingredients probably OK), texture characterization
- Polymers (design or characterization)
- Attention to detail, precise weighing of ingredients, setting up experiments, impeccable record keeping
Requirements:
- 2-3 years ideal in cosmetics, formulation, paint, food (new graduates are welcome to apply)
- BS in Chemistry, MS ideal (chemistry more relevant than biology)
- Comfortable with Excel
- Impeccable record-keeping
- Cleanliness
- Respect for safety rules
- Opportunity for autonomy and proactivity, propose own ideas
- Someone who wants to be a chemist/senior chemist, more independent
- Takes deadlines seriously, can meet hard deadlines as the team is the last stop before things go on market
- Communicate issues to management, ask for help
